ASTORIA LIVE | January 2nd, 2026

Hello Astoria,

Hope you are staying warm through this endless cold spell! At least we've had sunlight to illuminate the slushy corner puddles. Hang in there! Read on for all the events happening close by, you won't have to trudge too far!

Reminder that tomorrow is a special election to replace the open seat left by Zohran. More details in my last issue.

Special Election Info: NY State Assembly Member

This election is to fill Mamdani's vacated seat this year for the remainder of his term, but there will also be a primary in June, and then the general election in November.

  • Election Day: Feb 3 , 2026

Find your poll site and preview a sample ballot here: https://findmypollsite.vote.nyc/

Cheers,
Stacey

Thinking about your fertility options?

As a woman in my 30s, the topic of kids comes up a lot. If you aren’t sure what you want yet, this info session at Open Fertility is a great place to start.

They’ll walk through how, why, and when to consider the egg freezing process, cost options, and more. No pressure, no commitment. And, having an option right in Astoria makes the process much more accessible.
