✨ This week in Astoria: November 2nd - November 8th

ASTORIA LIVE | NOVEMBER 2nd, 2026

Good morning, Astoria!

October somehow managed to pack in dozens of Astoria Halloween events and still fly by in the blink of an eye. Now, we're entering that special NYC season when you need to dress for all four seasons in one day: freezing on your morning commute, sweating by lunchtime, and questioning your outfit choices by sunset. And don't even get me started on the fact that the next time Halloween falls on a Saturday is 2037. TRAGIC.

Does anyone else feel like NYC summer doesn't officially end until after the marathon? It feels like it's been go-go-go from June to now, and watching runners make their way through Queens Plaza and Crescent Street yesterday felt like the city's final "summer" send-off. Just like that, we're onto the holiday season. At least, Five Below thinks so!

Before you get too cozy indoors, Election Day is TOMORROW! We've put together a voting guide to help you head to the polls prepared, with a breakdown of the upcoming elections and all five NYC ballot proposals. Give it a read, make a plan, and don't forget to vote!

Now that you've got your voting plan sorted, scroll on for what's happening around Astoria this week and start filling up that calendar!

Cheers,
Angelina & Stacey
