Hello Astoria,
It's a packed week of events ahead! St. Patty's Day is coming up on Tuesday, and all the Irish bars (and many others) will be celebrating, so it's a great day to either join in and grab a pint, or do something else to avoid the crowds.
I spent my Friday night at Mostly Good Studios, getting my hands dirty with clay at a Very Angry Women workshop. It's a great space and Kaitlyn is a great instructor and host. She’s starting a six-week hand-building class in a couple weeks, along with a few other fun workshops that are worth checking out!
In other neighborhood news, beloved Greenpoint indie movie theater and cafe, Stuart Cinema, is moving to LIC near Astoria! Opening April 3rd, with 2 screens, a full restaurant, and space for red carpet events.
And if you're looking for a fresh read - the worker cooperative, bookstore, and community space, No Borders Collective, had their grand opening in the Side B space on Saturday!
If you're doing a spring pantry clean-out, Astoria Food Pantry posted a list of their high need items.
Cheers,
Stacey
