The weather is all over the place, but Astoria is in full bloom with plenty of grand openings and events of all types. Scroll on for the latest neighborhood happenings this week, curated just for you :)

Local Gossip:

  • The indie film theater and cafe, Stuart Cinema, is having their grand opening celebration on Friday! They've moved to Northern Blvd and 38th st from their former home in Greenpoint. Show them some love and enjoy free popcorn and surprises.
  • MoMa PS1 celebrated their 50th anniversary with a big party. PSA: Museum admission is now free for all!
  • Astoria Ditmars Restaurant Week continues through the 26th.
  • A Queens Bookstore Crawl is underway, if you've wanted an excuse to check out the best book sellers of the borough
  • The Shop Small Astoria Retail Crawl with passport and prizes is kicking off on Friday.
  • 31st Ave Open Street is back in action this coming weekend!!!!!
  • Speaking of 31st Ave, Nook Coffee opened up between 33rd and 34th streets. Very cute vibes.
  • Bubbles & Mane, a new salon & spa near the Ditmars N/W stop, is having their grand opening party on Saturday
  • Medusa Art Studios, a cafe, bar, studio, and event space - is having their Bridgerton themed launch party on Sunday
  • Apparently the Exorcist remake has been filming near Astoria Park 👀
